Jungle Island (formerly Parrot Jungle Island) is a long stone's throw from our old digs at One Herald Plaza.
Although it is known as an educational/outdoor recreation area, it has a ballroom facility with outdoor veranda space and lovely views.
From 6 pm-7 pm we will have a cocktail reception (cash bar), followed by a several-course buffet. There will be a variety of cold salads, plus hot entrees of seafood, beef or chicken as well as a variety of desserts.
Self-parking is just $7 (a bargain on South Beach these days).
This should be an ideal spot--near the Beach but not on it--separated from the SoBe nightlife crowds and craziness but near enough to enjoy the special ambience.
